Kinokuniya Ngee Ann City, Singapore
We designed bookstores for the Kinokuniya chain in places ranging from Southeast Asia, Taiwan, Japan, Australia, Dubai and the United States. Each bookstore maintains the distinct corporate identity of Kinokuniya through the use of shared design elements inspired by the Japanese culture yet also incorporates local cultural influences specific to each store. Special ceiling design features are incorporated into the design of each store to make each one unique.

Kinokuniya Ngee Ann City, Singapore
Renowned as a global book retailer that satisfies all readers’ tastes, Kinokuniya Bookstores are located in major cities of Asia, Australia, UAE and the USA. The office’s collaboration with Kinokuniya spans across 20 years from selected stores in Japan to most of the overseas stores.
The design of the stores is curated in a manner that infuses Kinokuniya’s corporate branding with the store location’s cultural context, creating consistent yet distinctive bookstores globally.
